Today the Jackson/Teton County Housing Department released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Horizontal Infrastructure, Planning and Design for 445 East Kelly Avenue in Jackson, Wyoming.

“This RFP is the first step to developing affordable housing on this property,” said Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Director April Norton. “We are thrilled to get this project going and look forward to creative responses that address this site in a comprehensive way,” Norton added.

Teton County purchased the 1.08-acre site in June of this year for the purpose of developing affordable housing. The Teton County Board of County Commissioners has discussed partnering with Teton Habitat to develop the residential units. The RFP for horizontal design is the first step to preparing the site for development.

The RFP asks respondents to provide two site designs that include a reroute of the Cache Creek ditch so that it will flow along the border of Mike Yokel Park, enhanced pedestrian amenities, and building envelopes for up to 18 townhomes. Additional consideration will be given to responses that preserve at least one of the existing structures on the site.

The complete RFP can be found online at the Teton County www.PublicPurchase.com portal using ID No. 134762. Questions are due by November 20, 2020 and responses are due December 21, 2020 by 4 p.m. More information about the development can be found at www.jhaffordablehousing.org.
