HOW TO VIEW PUBLIC MEETINGS REMOTELY AND PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT LIVE DURING THE MEETING

Go to the Teton County Webpage at www.tetoncountywy.gov

Hover over “Government” until more options are revealed

Click on “Board of County Commissioners” under “Agendas & Minutes”

Find the meeting that you want to participate in and download the agenda to open it

Call-in information, meeting ID, and a link to join the webinar will be listed at the top of agenda

If you join the webinar directly using the link on the agenda, you will be able to make public comment by using the “raise hand” feature and waiting for the Chairperson to acknowledge you and open your line to comment.  The Teton County Chair will pause at the beginning of the webinar to ask if anyone from the public has public comment. At that time, the public will be unmuted and able to give public comment.  When agenda items are discussed, the Chair will also ask if there is public comment and give a chance for someone to speak over the phone or raise their hand on the webinar.

If you are listening to the public meeting via a telephone using the call-in information provided on the agenda, you will be able to make public comment when the Chairperson unmutes the call-in lines and calls for public comment.  It is possible the Chairperson will ask call-in attendees at the beginning of the meeting which item(s) they would like to comment on.

HOW TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON DURING THE MEETING

Public comment can be made in-person at the Administration Building, 200 S Willow Street, in the Board of County Commissioners’ Chambers.  The Chambers is set up to accommodate a limited number of in-person attendees, in accordance with current Health Department and State guidelines.  The Board of County Commissioners will not be present.  You will be able to watch the meeting on television screens in the chambers and provide comment when called upon by the Chairperson. You will be speaking into a microphone which will be broadcast over the Zoom Meeting.  Due to the Public Health Order prohibiting gatherings of 25 or more people, and for the public’s safety, we will be managing the number and proximity of any persons in attendance.  If there are a large number of in-person attendees, you may be asked to wait outside until your agenda item is heard.

The Teton County Chair will pause at the beginning of the webinar to ask if anyone from the public has public comment. At that time, you may walk up to the podium and wait to be called upon by the Chair.  When agenda items are discussed, the Chair will also ask if there is public comment and give a chance for someone to speak from the microphone in the chambers.
