Be sure to determine what is needed for your travel destination. Here are some things to consider:
Time to test before travel
Type of test needed
Time of results: Do you need them before you get on the plane or can it wait?
The Teton County Health Department offers the following tests for travel screening:
Curative: A FREE saliva based PCR collected at one of our kiosk locations. Results are emailed to you in 2-4 days

If you think you need a rapid test after travel, please call the Health Department for screening at 307-732-8628 or call a Saint John’s Health Primary Care Provider.
After Travel: The CDC recommends testing 3-5 days after travel and self-quarantining at home for a full 7 days after travel (even if your test comes back negative). However, the Teton County Health Department recommends testing on day 5 for a more accurate test result. Please test immediately if you develop symptoms.
People who are fully vaccinated with an FDA-authorized vaccine or a vaccine authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization can travel safely within the United States:
- Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to get tested before or after travel unless their destination requires it.
- Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine.
